Both cans have a 20 litre
capacity and are of the generic WW2 design conceived by
the Germans (hence the name 'jerrycan') but the
differences can be seen in the photos on the left and
below.
The French jerrycan made by SEA
has a larger pouring neck which is also fitted with an
external breather pipe (see photo below) to allow a
steady flow of air to enter the can as the fuel is poured
out. In the british jerrycan the equivalent pipe is
fitted inside the pouring neck.
