French jeeps were rarely, if ever,
fitted with the American style carbine holder.
However, a bracket was produced to secure the
FAMAS which attached behind the screen using the
same mounting brackets. |

The kit was not widely used but has
turned up on M201s that remained in active
service during the final years. The example shown
above is the most common type and it is
interesting to note the European camo green
factory colour used on the bracket set above.
Most that I have seen are a standard French army
green factory finish. |

The kit was designed to fit directly
to the original mountings supplied as standard on
the front panel. The bracket for the butt did
require a hole to be made for an additional bolt.
The rare example below is of what I assume was
the final all rubber type. |
